Injuries We Treat Most: Elbow, Wrist & Hand

We commonly treat athletes, lifters, desk workers, and weekend warriors with a variety of upper extremity injuries, from overuse to trauma.

Irritation of the common extensor tendon on the outer elbow, often from gripping, typing, or lifting. Causes pain with wrist extension, gripping, and resisted movement.

Pain on the inside of the elbow from overuse of the flexor muscles—common in golfers, lifters, and manual workers.

Inflammation or degeneration of wrist tendons from repetitive strain, lifting, or poor ergonomics. Pain worsens with typing, push-ups, or gripping.

Compression of the median nerve in the wrist causing numbness, tingling, or weakness in the hand and fingers—often worse at night or with prolonged wrist use.

A “funny bone” issue causing numbness or weakness in the ring and pinky fingers—commonly from cycling, pressing, or resting elbows on hard surfaces.

Irritation of tendons on the thumb side of the wrist—frequent in new parents, lifters, and anyone doing repetitive thumb/wrist movements.

A cartilage tear in the wrist, often due to load-bearing or twisting, causing deep wrist pain with pressing or weight-bearing.

A catching or locking sensation in the fingers or thumb due to thickening of the flexor tendon sheath, often treated conservatively with manual therapy and exercise.

Reduced mobility or pain after injury or surgery—requiring joint mobilization, strength retraining, and neuromuscular re-education.
