WHAT TO EXPECT
HERE'S HOW WE DO THINGS AT VOLTEX
Step 1
Book a Free Consultation Call
The journey begins with a simple step—booking a FREE consultation call. Visit our Contact Us page and answer a few quick questions so Dr.Hector can reach out to you promptly.
During the call, we’ll ask you a series of questions to understand what’s going on and figure out if Voltex is the best fit to help you achieve your goals.
Step 2
Schedule an Evaluation
At Voltex, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the site of pain. That’s why our evaluations are 75 minutes long, providing ample time for a comprehensive assessment.
Dr. Hector evaluates your entire body to uncover the root cause of your pain. Through a detailed analysis of how your body moves and functions, he identifies underlying patterns that contribute to your discomfort.
This personalized approach ensures we address the true source of the issue, setting the foundation for effective treatment.
Step 3
Get Back to Doing What You Love
Your treatment journey is tailored to help you return to the activities you enjoy most. Each 60-minute treatment session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, ensuring focused care and attention.
Dr.Hector will guide you through a customized plan to achieve your goals. By the end of your plan of care, you will have the tools and knowledge to maintain your progress and prevent future issues.
Many of our clients choose to continue working with us through biweekly or monthly check-ins to stay on track and pursue even bigger aspirations.
FAQ
What is Performance Physical Therapy?
Performance physical therapy is a mix of rehab and training designed to treat your whole body and meet your unique needs. Because we’re cash-based, we don’t have to follow insurance rules, so we can focus completely on helping you. Whether you’re into sports or just like staying active, our goal is to help you get out of pain and stay that way. We believe movement is key to feeling better, so we use an active, hands-on approach to keep you moving and doing what you love.
Why choose Voltex Physical Therapy?
At Voltex, we’re all about giving you the best care. Our one-on-one, hour-long sessions are all about you and your goals. Unlike other clinics, we make your progress our top priority and help you feel confident as you work toward your personal goals.
What will a session look like?
At traditional clinics, you might spend just a few minutes with a therapist, do exercises with an aide, and use things like heat or ice. At Voltex, we do things differently. Your session will focus entirely on finding and fixing the root of your problem.
Our initial evaluations are 75 minutes long, giving us plenty of time to understand your needs and set a clear plan. Follow-up sessions are one-on-one and last 60 minutes, ensuring you get the focused attention you deserve. We use exercises, education, and hands-on techniques to create lasting change. No quick fixes—just real results that help you feel better long-term.
Can I do injury prevention or wellness sessions?
Yes! We offer wellness and maintenance sessions to help prevent injuries and keep you active. Staying proactive is easier and more affordable than recovering from an injury. We also have an app to create a tailored functional training program for you, complete with instructional videos to guide your exercises.
Does Voltex accept health insurance?
No, we don’t take insurance. Being out-of-network lets us focus on giving you the best care without the restrictions or delays that come with insurance. However, you can still use your out-of-network benefits to submit claims for reimbursement.
What is cash-based physical therapy?
In a cash-based model, you pay directly for each session. This means no surprises or hidden costs, and we can focus fully on your care without worrying about insurance restrictions. Your treatment plan is based on your needs and goals—nothing else.
What’s the difference between cash-based and insurance-based physical therapy?
Cash-based physical therapy has many benefits:
- Personalized Care: Every session is tailored to your needs and goals, with no limits on the type or amount of care.
- Clear Costs: We’ll tell you upfront what everything will cost, so there are no surprises.
- Focused Treatment: We make decisions based on what’s best for you, not what insurance will cover.
- One-on-One Attention: You get the full session with your Doctor of Physical Therapy—no techs, no distractions. This approach means you’ll get the most out of your sessions and see real results.
Can I submit my visits to insurance?
Yes! We’ll give you a superbill with all the details you need to submit a claim to your insurance. Your reimbursement will depend on your specific plan.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes! You can use your HSA or FSA funds for treatment at Voltex.
What specialized services do you offer?
Dr. Hector holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a PhD in Exercise Science, giving him advanced expertise in providing:
Dry needling
Joint mobilization and manipulations
Soft tissue mobilization
Blood flow restriction therapy
Every session is designed to help you feel and move better.
Do I need a referral for physical therapy?
In Texas, you can start physical therapy without a referral for up to two weeks. If you need care for longer, we can help you get a referral from a licensed provider.
