Dr. Colin Grillo is a licensed physical therapist and board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) based in Austin, Texas, practicing at Voltex Physical Therapy. With three years of experience in orthopedic and sports medicine, he specializes in working with golfers, pickleball players, active adults, and anyone looking to move better, recover from injury, and get back to the activities they enjoy.
Dr. Colin has always had a passion for exercise, movement, and understanding how the body works. That interest ultimately led him to physical therapy, where he could combine his passion for movement with the opportunity to help people overcome pain, regain confidence, and return to the activities that are important to them. His own experience with golf has also given him an appreciation for the physical demands of the sport and the importance of developing the strength and mobility needed to play confidently. He also enjoys pickleball and stays active through strength training and other forms of exercise.
Dr. Colin earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Following PT school, he completed an orthopedic residency and earned his OCS distinction. His treatment approach combines evidence-based care with dry needling, manual therapy, blood flow restriction (BFR) training, and individualized strength and mobility programs.
Dr. Colin believes physical therapy should be more than simply treating pain. His goal is to help clients understand their bodies, build confidence in movement, and stay active doing the things they love. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Colin enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, their three cats and dog, staying active, and exploring Austin’s food scene.
